Cairngorm Developments Ltd (CDL) was formed in 2005 by a group of local
businessmen in Badenoch & Strathspey to provide housing
in the Highlands and raise money for the Highland Hospice in the process.
CDL focus on single or small multi-plot developments in the Highlands
and Inverness area which are in sympathy with the locality rather than large
suburban type housing estates which many people feel are detrimental to a National
Park location.
Uniquely amongst Property Developers, CDL has pledged to donate a share of its annual profits to the Highland Hospice which cares for local people with cancer and other life-limiting conditions.
Ms Linda MacDonald, fund-raising organiser for the Hospice said, "This
is a completely new type of fund raising for us and a first for the
Highlands. We are delighted that this generous partnership will contribute
to the community.
CDL has a wealth of business experience amongst its shareholders which include
a solicitor, an accountant, two local builders and other entrepreneurs. Land
has already been acquired for development at Dornoch, Dalwhinnie and
Inverness with more acquisitions in the pipeline.
